Auction and Catalog Management
for Denmark's Largest Auction Website

 

In June of 2008, we received an inquiry from an auction company regarding the maintenance of their auction and catalog website. Their website had been previously developed by another outsourcing company from India. The client informed us that they recently lost all support from their previous outsourcing service provider and their website was showing signs of bugs and performance loss.


The website’s primary objective is to showcase their ongoing auctions, download an offline mini-auction application, accounting and marketing.

Our proficiency in Scandinavian languages along with German, English and Filipino gave us an advantage in communications. By discussing the actual requirements in Danish, we were able to determine our development path and schedule. This advantage further improved our requirements gathering process.


Our Strength in Development


While the original system lacked proper documentation, our senior developers the original code structure and framework. From here we were able to pinpoint technical routines that caused performance loss. In under 3 weeks we were able to fully document the original system. Our business analysts created high level documents allowing our development group to make modifications to the existing code base and delivery modifications and implement additional features.

Continuing Customer Satisfaction through Stability and Fresh Ideas

Up until the present (Jan 2010), we have continued to serve this customer. We provided new design interfaces that lead to higher useability and complete application overhaul with detailed documentation.


In addition to this, we setup high availability load balancing servers to handle the websites massive user-base. We approached the development requirements by using a MVC framework and intuitive object oriented programming. We also provided more inventive system ideas and custom applications for them to use to boost their business and reduce manual data entry.
